Some of the most useful conversations begin with a simple question: “How does that work at your school?” A reminder that never reached home. A parent who missed a change of plan. A teacher with an idea that made everyone’s day a little easier. These are the stories we’re looking forward to hearing next week.
Noticeboard will be attending South African EdTech Week in Johannesburg on 12–13 October 2026. Convened by Injini, the event brings people from education and technology together. We’re excited to meet the people behind the schools, ideas and communities shaping education in South Africa.
Starting with the school day
This year’s theme is “Reclaiming the Classroom: EdTech as a Tool for Teacher Empowerment”. It’s a conversation we care about: how can technology support the people doing the work every day?
For us, that starts with the connection between schools and families. A clear notice, an event that is easy to find, or a learner’s achievement shared with home can help people feel part of school life. We’re building Noticeboard around those everyday moments, and listening to schools helps us understand what deserves our attention next.
Let’s have a conversation
If you’re attending, we’d love to hear what’s working in your school and what still takes more effort than it should. Whether you’re a teacher, school leader or someone supporting education, your experience is a good place to begin.
You can also ask us about Noticeboard and how it connects schools, parents and communities. Already part of the Noticeboard community? We’d love to meet you in person and hear your story.
See you in Johannesburg. Come say hello—let’s talk about the moments that matter.
